  • New release of J42 for Secure Access - Direct Link

New options: a Smart Card as an HSM, message submission and reception with FTP.

    • With the low cost option of a Smart Card you can now exchange highly secure digitally signed messages without purchasing an expensive HSM. Our tests show that using the standard feature of batching messages into groups a throughput of over 5 messages a second is easily obtained. These tests were performed on a 1.4 GHz PC with digital signatures taking place on the SmartCard.

    • With the new FTP option your Direct Link client behaves like an FTP server so your own applications can use FTP to send and receive your messages. You still benefit from the security of Direct Link's digitally signed messages while gaining the convenience of an ftp interface.

  • As a member of Club NSAA, J&B Computing Services will be validating the J42™ product range for use on Itanium-based HP NonStop systems. J42 for Secure Access - Direct Link and J42 for Secure Access - Passthru Server both run in the NonStop environment and J42 for Application Access provides on-the-fly transformation of your green screen application into a GUI system.
  • J42™ products also run in many other environments, see product data sheets for details.

  • J42 for Application Access has been validated for Java 5 as well as Java 1.4.2 and earlier.
  • J42 for Secure Access - Direct Link is linking banking organisations together to provide secure messages carrying instructions for foreign exchange trades and payments. • J42 for Application Access is being used to automatically translate screen texts in an IBM OS/390 application. In addition to transforming the "green screen" into a modern graphical user interface, J42 is translating the texts into the user's own language. The host application screens are in Dutch but English and Italian speaking users see translated texts in a GUI. The host application's extensive use of Dutch orientated cryptic codes is hidden from the user by the use of drop down boxes and radio buttons.

  • Hardware Security Module compatability. J42 for Secure Access - Direct Link has been validated for use with nShield from nCipher a leading provider of cryptographic IT security solutions. Already customers are using the combination of J42 for Secure Acces and nShield to ensure safe secure and non-repudiatable transactions across the Internet.

  • December 2002, a third party CLS implementation (foreign exchange) goes live using J42™ products to provide a secure GUI access across the Internet. Within two months the system is handling over 30 billion US dollars a day, by 2005 the system is handling over 70 billion US dollars a day.

New Release of J42 for Application Access now available

  • Implement GUI in a few hours with the new J42

J42 will create an instant GUI for your legacy application, dynamically transforming hundreds or thousands of screens without any programming or specific knowledge of each screen. The new improved configuration dialogs with pop-up context sensitive help make it even easier than before to define the dynamic interpretation rules to help J42 transform any number of screens on-the-fly.

New in this version are configuration dialogs to define on-the-fly transformation into Checkboxes, Choices widgets, Radiobuttons and more.

New plug-in additions to the dynamic engine can radically transform your application and change your old green screen application navigation systems into GUI tab strips and toolbars.

J42 for Application Access is ready for you to test today, just fill in our evaluation request form and we will e-mail you details of how you can download the fastest way to transform your host applications.
